Default Help!! Reving problem

So I have noticed when I am on the highway and im gettig upto speed when I go to shift and if I don't come off the clutch quick enough my car is reving itself up to like 4.5 5k. What the hell could this be? Should I call the dealer and bring it in??

I don't think I have been hard on the car but this is my first stick car I have owned, but it still has under 800 miles on it so I have been (what I think) easy on it

Subaru wants you to keep it up 4k for the first 1,000 miles, I believe.

See everyone has a differnt thing with breaking it in so i have been staying under 4k but I let my dad take it for a ride a few times and im pretty sure he was beating on it, and I have gotten on it a few times just only recently like the past week. I am waiting to change my oil this weekend then I was going to get on it and possibly take it to the track and see how it does

I noticed this when i first got my car also... its you not taking ur foot off the clutch fast enough and inertia... depending on how fast you are revving

I might not be taking my foot off quickly enough.. I'll see what happens when I drive home. hopefully I wont sit in traffic.. I think that might be why im just finding this out too I really havent had the car out without any traffic

Did subaru give you any reason on why you should wait that long?

That's just plain bad advice.
