IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | Hello all, I think i my first mod for the STI is going to be a a short throw shifter. The most common recommendation seems to be either the Kartboy shifter with the bushings or getting the TiC supershifter set. I wanted to ask you guys if there are any other options which is should consider here. I found some stuff by Perrin, Cobb and this one Agency Power. http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/p...oducts_id/6719 I am trying to find out as much as i can about the performance of the other shifters but any input from you guys would be greatly appreciated !!! Also, with the TiC Super shifter set, do i need to worry about affecting the NVH levels in the car? I drive about 60 miles everyday so that is a big consideration for me. Hope this is the right forum for the thread. Thank you all This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

I don't think any of the others are adjustable. The urethane front bushing added a bit of noise. I even went so far as to use sound deadener on mine |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2005 Trader Rating: (8) | I highly recommend the TIC "super shifter" kit. It's the Kartboy lever with all the replacement bushings you'll need. The only NVH that i've experienced is increased gear whine, but it sounds cool to me and you get used to it quick ![]() Also, the little bit of extra noise is well worth it. Everything is rock solid with the kit installed and the throws are much shorter |
