| STI Driver | Has this ever happened to you guys? I was braking pretty hard, and second gear just popped to neutral? It drives fine though, no grinding noise no nothing. I just thought that was weird. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

I'd bet that the combination of quickly getting off the gas and braking, plus extremely rare timing, that the tension on the shifter was eased enough that it got jostled into neutral. You can actually push the shifter out of almost any gear at a specific RPM when off the throttle. I did this accidently a couple times in my RSX. I'd say it was just one of those REALLY rare occurrences or it wasn't fully in gear when you got back on it. |

I don't know why, I just know the fix. The fix is to change the synchros. | |
