LOL...I guess ACPT paid all those people for those positive reviews. If you need dyno evidence, then you are unaware of how many things can be manipulated on the dyno. My recommendation is to find someone local and go for a test drive. That $1k in your pocket is keeping you from the enjoyment you could experiencing with the DS installed.

If I live in Newport Beach near ACPT shop in Hunington, is there a more efficient way for me to buy it? Could I just go pick it up instead of having to ship it? Thanks.

here is a plot of my car with the same tune, though it was a few months apart, on the same dyno as the tune was made. the only change is the addition of the ACPT DS. i also posted this plot in the "wheres the dyno proof" thread

the pencil line is the before

look at the 2 plots closely, unfortunatly on saturday the started the pull at 2k. the motor got a little loaded up BEFORE 2700rpms where the OLD plot started. i think if they had started at 2500-2700 the numbers would have been up earlier.

great results! there is an interesting difference between hp in the 3700-5000 rpm area. it seems that the d/s brings the power sooner which is consistent with the reviews so far.
there also seems to be a small loss in torque below 3700 rpm but a very nice gain beyond that point.

i was wondering if there were any major differences in the outside air temp. /engine intake temperature between the 2 dynos.

wait looking at this some more and it seems that below ~3700 rpm there is loss in both torque and hp, but gains above that? i am confused...shouldnt this have gains through the entire rpm range since we are dramatically decreasing rotational inertia and what not?

There is definitely NOT any loss of torque down low, the car pulls harder throughout the RPM range, and goes through the RPMs faster.

I think the best feeling after having the driveshaft installed was when I did a fast 1-2 shift at redline...it feels like the jolly green giant is kicking your ass back into the seat. I love it.

What gear was the car dynoed in?

Just wondering about the amount of gear multiplication involved.

VERY impressive results.

for those who have a non-usdm rear diff:

i have a EDM 2.0 sti. I thought we have the same rear diff with you guys but i realized the hard way this is not the case.
i tried to install the acpt d/s but my rear diff has a narrower bolt pattern than the rear part of the d/s. i will see if I can modify and balance it again using my stock d/s. i really want to install my d/s. everyone was admiring the 1 piece design this morning. very cool part.

100% agree!

Too bad though, I would have loved to get some kick-back$ from ACPT for my positive reviews. Heck, I am probably one of the only folks that paid the full $1,500 for the CF driveshaft.

The ACPT CF one-piece driveshaft =

i didnt weight my stock EDM d/s but i think you guys have a much beefier stock d/s. lifting both at the same time does not show such a dramatic difference in weight.

Maybe this is an (expensive) option for the Euro STi's.......
