![]() I wouldn't think the gains would be very noticeable, but it continues to be my favorite mod regardless. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2003 Trader Rating: (1) | Shift feel. It's much easier to shift smoothly with the CF DS... that was the first thing that I noticed after install. Others have commented that it pulls harder in 5th/6th gear, but I didn't perceive a big change in power delivery. Though the effects of the lighter DS should be more evident the more power you're making, so it may just be due to my lowly 245whp that I can't tell the difference. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (9) | oh there are gains ![]() has to be with less drivetrain loss, although 1 or 5 whp still dont know. all i know is it feels better. i have had the aluminum shaft also. acceleration felt similar, but the cf shaft has less nvh. the aluminum felt harsh. |

| Amateur STI Driver | Less drivetrain lash, I don't notice the stickshift shifing around when I let go of gas. There less vibration in the stickshift. Accelation is smoother and faster. It feel like you have superlight rims on. Drawback, cost, hassle waiting for it and unknow of future problems. |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | I love mine, the car is definitely smoother between shifts and the rpms rise a lot smoother/quicker as well. In terms of a real gain, I'd say you're just losing less of what you already had to drivetriain loss, but there's definitely something there. Even if you were just to take in the increase in the car's driveability it'd be a well worth it mod. -Chris |
