I'm getting vibrations with my driveshaft around 45-50 and 75+ and worsens as the speed increases. Have all stock bushings.

Only one thing I noticed and didn't think was a problem is when I put the driveshaft up to the rear diff mount it wasn't flush all the way around. One bolt looks like it doesn't have as much thread past the nut like the other bolts. Going to leave work early to unbolt the driveshaft and check out the end that mounts to the rear diff. I did notice there was a hump inside the ring that goes to the rear diff and a bolt sticks out the rear diff mounting bracket. Maybe this is causing a issue with it being flush and vibrating due to this.

In the speed ranges with no vibration i'm loving the driveshaft but I can't go faster than 70 on the highway and most of my driving is highway lol.

Got one of stock driveshaft and of the cf driveshaft when i took it off.

stock

cf

looks like mine was only hollowed out in a v shape and the two shiny marks are from where i bolted it up to the rear diff and the bolt that sticks out pressed down the metal. Vibrations were due to the flange not mounting flush because of the inner part of the circle on the flange wasn't hollowed out properly.

I'm looking at the drive shaft and notice that the flange is v-shaped too. I'll find out how it does this weekend.

Just got mine today and hope to install this weekend. I do a lot of track days so I am PRAYING that I get no vibrations!
I'm really excited about this product, but am somewhat baffled that so many people have vibration problems... surely they're all balanced before they go out, yes? So I don't get it...

Yes its all balanced. The issue I had with mine is the v shape in the pocket area wasn't hollowed out enough and prevented me from mounting the driveshaft flush to the rear diff which in turn caused my vibrations.

I just installed the drive shaft today and got the same result as Icereaperx30 except I installed the Unabomber's Sexy Rear End also. The car feels great at low speeds, but once I got on the freeway to check the drive shaft, I got some serious vibrations once I hit 70+ mph.

The vibrations were pretty bad during accelerations and decelerations. My cousin who helped me installed it said it may be the bushings and that they may need to settle.

Now I'm questioning where my installation was done correctly, but the thing is I followed the Subaru service manual.

BTW, I still need to install the engine mounts. I'm hoping those will solve the vibration issues.

Does anyone have advice they can give? I'd hate to return this thing, because the acceleration is QUICK!!!

My mod list if it will help:
- ACPT DS
- Unabomber's Sexy Rear End,
- Rear Sway Bar (I don't know what brand)
- X- Brace
- TiC SSS
- Do-Luck Front Sub-Frame

Thanks guys!

Only thing I can suggest if you have the same problem i had is to unbolt the bolts to the rear diff on the driveshaft and see if it mounts flush or has play. Can also check inside the recessed area to see if there are any marks.

I miss the acceleration too. I'm ready for another driveshaft!

There is a very, and I mean very, small gap on one side of the flange. The other three are flush. There was some play, but it was small.

I'm gonna try for a week and see if it improves. If not, I'll crawl under the car again.

Is yours getting reworked?

Thats cool. I'm really considering taking it to a professional shop. It they somehow "get it right", WTF did I do wrong? Do you get what I mean?

I'm trying to eliminate all the variables before suspecting its the drive shaft. I will try what you did.

Thanks again!

I had someone installeded DS for me today. So, far I have had no virbration at all..! I went up to speed as high as 80+ mph for a short time, but otherwise I was between 60-70mph.
As far as performance diff. It's HUGE..! It feels like it has turn the car into a diff. beast...! Quick throttle response..., the shfiting become silking smooth...! I would have done it much earlier if I know it's that good..but then I waited so long not because of the cost.., but because I worry about the problems I will face, since I am not the one to install it ...!
