i sprung for the adjustability. it is nice, because I set the lower half to the max "shortening" and the top half to the height I desired. the way it works, or at least how i understand, is that the higher the lower half is set, the more "leverage" it has, thereby making every inch you move the shifer move the linkage more. since the linkage connects above the lower half and below the top half, you can use the top half as a height adjustment, without as much as an effect on the length of the shift. it will still change it, but not as much as moving the lower half. if that makes any sense at all. when I bought it, the busing combo + cobb SS was $30 more than that super shifter set. worth it to me. | |
