I have the EPC, so I figured I'd check. There are 2 diff. part numbers.
32650 AA120 fits 04,05 and 06's to 12/16/05
32650 AA150 fits 06's from 12/17/05.

It appears that they are not interchangable either.

I did two track days last week and started have a little crunch from 5th to 4th.

At like 8k I had my tranny pulled to replace the synchros and that was adult daily driven usage.

I just hope the new fluid helps I was thinking it is broken down fron the heat etc.

But worst case hopefully they will replace under warranty and maybe I can get them to put this in instead of USDM OEM replacement.

This is what I may get: RST-1145kit JDM Upgrade Kit for STi 6-spd. $450
Upgrade kit for the US STi 6-speed gearbox includes short ratio 5th and 6th gears, uprated carbon-reinforced 4th, 5th, and 6th gear synchro rings, and a new 5th/6th gear synchro hub set. Helps to eliminate 4th, 5th, or 6th gear grinding issues due to premature synchro ring wear.

from what i know rallispec has the best price and they are good with costumer service. I got the synchros from the kit you are referring to but didnt want the gears. i want to still have the highway car that i have now. those gears will from what i hear lower gas mileage at highway speeds pretty bad. also from what i hear if you have synchro problems all you really need to replace are the actual synchros. the hubs and sleeves very rarely go bad. if i were you i would do what im doing and just buy the 4,5 and 6 gear synchros for $75.

the 06 indeed has different 5th & 6th synchro's. If you want to problem to mostly go away, use the JDM 5th & 6th gears, the new synchro's, a tranny cooler (if you track the car) and the factory fill...
