| Amateur STI Driver | I just changed my oil for the first time at 1500 miles. I reaplaced the oil with Mobil one 15w50, and used a Fram x2 filter. I noticed after i replaced the oil the shifting was much smoother and when i push the engine the revs somehow seem less harsh, its a little hard to explain but the accelration seems smoother, I'm wondering if using a synthetic oil can in any way effect accelration. I dont know if i am just looking for sometihng or if the accelration really is different? Also is the oil i used alright for the sti? thanks for the help This ad is not endorsed by this member. | Amateur STI Driver | Well then no problem, i live in San Diego. and i got the X2 filters from fram, i guess they are considered their premium filters. Oh well next time ill go for bosch if i can find them at pepboys or autozone. |

| Amateur STI Driver | I may be a little paranoid, but I think the best way to protect yourself in the event you ever have a warranty issue with the motor is to buy the oil filter from dealership and maintain file with documentation. |
