IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2004 Trader Rating: (2) | Guys i have the cobb double adjustable short throw shifter and was having problems with the knob not returnung back to its normal position. I get under the car and trace the cable it was worn by the driveshaft. Has anyone else experienced this prob them with the cobb shifter. How much are replacement cables? IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | Could you not hear the driveshaft hitting the cable? it's pretty annoying. Oh well, what's done is done. Check with www.subarugenuineparts.com for pricing, I'm worried it might be part of an entire assembly and not have an individual part number. FWIW, Kartboy's instructions mention and include an extra tie wrap for just this problem. |

| dances with roads | Other people have had the same problem. It happens with any short shifter because the cable gets moved down and the extra slack ends up under the car. The Cobb installation instructions specifically warn about it, and the thread in the Install / How To forum discusses it as well. My post in that thread includes a picture of the cable tied off to stay out of the driveshaft. |
