Repost of God's (aka Guru aka Dan at Godspeed) post on NASIOC:

"Yeppers. That's what I got on my stage II with 110 unleaded race fuel. THe turbo really was maxed out which is why HP was limited. Not much more power out of the headers but a lot more torque. On pump fuel torque jumped from 208 to 223 ft lbs at the wheel just by switching to the GT Spec header. HP held steady at around 310 whp from run to run. Yes I did shoot out some nice big flames on a couple of runs for you pyromaniacs. This concludes my testing of the stock turbo. On race fuel the ECU wanted to run 39 degrees of timing at redline. It's crazy about timing that's for sure. I had to back it off some with the e-manage. So there you have it. You can not get 400 HP on pump but you CAN get over 400 ftlbs of torque at the crank on pump. The header helped a lot with knock resistance and smoothed out the power curve nicely."

Stuff:

Turbo XS intake (going back to SUS with new turbo)
Godspeed downpipe
GT Spec header
PE 850cc injectors
Blitz SBCid
Greddy E-Manage
APS DR650 FMIC
Blitz BOV
ATS Triple Plate carbon clutch

seems like the first thing every tuner does is a fmic conversion. i'd like to know what is the max power i can get without doing this swap.

I agree. I have no interested in all the extra piping for the FMIC, or the added cost. But they are certainly necessary for specific HP applications.

Too bad I'm not a filthy rich millionaire, I would just sit at home (with my dyno of course) testing different setups on the STi : )
