It's the Kartboy rear shifter bushing. Check out Scoobymods for an instal howto.

rear shifter stay bushing. Thicker part of the bushing goes down. start the threads on the passenger side first, then thread in the drivers side. Once you've threads started on both sides go ahead and tighten them up.

It's easiest to use a socket and a long extension for that.

I've got this as well but my father's pneumatic lift has a trike project taking up the space right now.

Any notes as to what location I should look to install this bushing? I didn't see anything on the kartboy site in the install listing about it.

The normal shifter bushing is on the right side of that picture, on the left hand side where the shifter assembly attches to underside of the car is that bushing, it's up above the driveline. Sort of a tough one to find, but it's there.

If you need any assistance, i did this install a few weeks ago. I'm located just south of Detroit.

I got the front and rear bushings installed. The rear was a PITA, but after unbolting the shift linkage topside I had a lot easier time getting that rod pushed back enough to bump the rear bushing in place and bolt it down. All it took to get the front bushing was removing the brace like the instructions showed. I definitely recommend the Karboy kit. It has made a big difference with shift throws. I haven't had a single missed shift since installing this kit as all my throws just pop right into gear.

Hey Darth, if you do SCCA events, I'm in the NWOR chapter and should be travelling up north for the Silverdome Detroit event on the 25th. Otherwise, maybe we could meet up sometime and shoot the ****. I'd really like to get a NWOH/SEMI group together. Hell, I see plenty of WRXs driving around it shouldn't be too hard.
