So I am having an issue nailing down where my shifter slip is coming from. I have done cobb bushing front and back, cobb short through, TIC u-joint bushing, and changed the U-link that connects to the input shaft of the trans. But still having an excess amount of shifter slop, here is a link
Side to side play in gear is what the TIC shift linkage bushings advertise to fix. With mine I had to tighten the ever-loving Christ out of those as well as the main kb bushing (not the stay) to get mine where I wanted it.
Check the marked connection where the U Joint Assembly meets the Rod from the Gearbox.
(Picture stolen from NASIOC, I hope it's allright for the cause of bugfixing )
This is where my sloppy shifter comes from. Hope to fix it in 2 weeks. Already have TIC Bearings ready to go in also.
Ben_der -> all really replaced that link with brand new one and new roll pin.
Pecka23 --> already have the tic link bushing
