Default Clutch making a clicking noise

When the car is on, and in neutral at a complete stop

If i press the clutch in and let it out semi fast at idle in neutral, i hear a clicking sound at right about the friction point

if i let the clutch out slow, theres no sound

is this normal?

I have had that same noise with my car since I first got it. I believe its just the clutch release switch. Nuthin to worry about.

even at full stop in teutral, the clutch engages and disengages. what your hearing prolly is the clutch grabing with no slip because there is no load on it. just fyi, you can still wear the clutch out at full stop by having it pushed in.

Actually, you won't wear out the clutch at a full stop by having the pedal pushed in (as the clutch is not actually doing anything at a full stop). Rather, you'll wear out the throw-out bearing. It's under load when you're at a stop and holding the clutch pedal in.
