Help me get rid of squeaky clutch under the TMIC

Everytime I press down AND let go of the clutch pedal, it squeaks. I lived with it for some time, but want to put an end to it. It squeaks along the whole course of travel.

I checked under the dash at the pedal assembly and it's quiet there. The squeak is coming from under the TMIC above the tranny. I took a pic and video here. Can someone tell me exactly where to spray some lube. I sprayed around the area, the spring, the boots, inside, with no improvement.:confused:

To my knowledge, no ones has posted this before, so for now it would have to be a DIY that you create :). My first suggestion would be put some Lithium grease in and around the boot that surrounds the fork and see if any of the noise goes away at all. If not we know the sound is coming from elsewhere.

mine started too a little bit.... from stop you notice it right on... when driving not a chance...

This is caused when the spline no longer has high temp grease on it. What happens is when the throw out bearing loses the grease it is rubbing on the spline shaft making that sound. If the spline shaft has grease on it then the release shaft in which the release fork rides on no longer has grease. If both the spline and release shaft has grease on it then it could be you need just a dab on the tip of the slave cylinder(The piston that pushes the fork).

The release shaft is what holds the fork in place, and can be removed if you have a steady hand. The spline on the transmission you would have to move the motor forward and or remove the transmission from the car to have a better look at it. They do have a service hole that you can grease on the bell housing, there is a rubber cover underneath the TMIC that you can shine a light down. If you go this way you really need to know what you're doing because the last thing you want is grease on your clutch disc. Few more things, if the car is running and it makes that noise it could be the throw out bearing is shot. If it makes that noise when the car is not running then it needs grease. The last thing it could be is the pressure plate, when the fingers are pulled/depressed it could surely be making that noise and would just need to be cleaned with carb cleaner.

I would use ACT grease ;)

That is a push style TOB, the STI have a pull style which would be more harder. The noise is the grease on the fork, just don't use any grease here. You need a high velocity grease that doesn't fling off all over the face of the clutch. If that happens you're be SOL and could potentially ruin the clutch. Also are going to need something temperature resistant. Clutches use friction, friction makes heat :)
