Sorry for not intruducing myself. I have been lurking here since I heard about the STi and ordered one. Finally got the call yesterday that it was in and picked it up today.

I have read all the discussion about break-in etc and was very surprised by what my dealer said (largest Subaru dealer in western PA).

They said they had filled it with 'break-in oil' and I should not change it for 3000 miles. As to how to drive it for the break-in period they said to just drive it normally, but not B&##$ to the wall.

What are your thoughts?

Chris

my thoughts are welcome to the site but you should really post in existing break in thread instead of starting another one.

as for you "break in" oil, they are probably talking aboout standard oil vs. synthetic oil after 3000
