Default Is high quality brake fluid needed for the clutch?

I use motul RBF 600 for my brakes to keep the fluid from boiling at the track, but does the clutch system really get to 600F to need the "good stuff"? Or will standard DOT 4 (450F) stuff do the job fine on a tracked car? My guess is the fluid probably never even reaches 200F, but im not sure.

Std. DOT 4 is fine for the clutch. If it hasn't been bled in awhile it would be good to flush it to get the moisture and old fluid out and to prevent rust.

25K miles and 5 years. You think one flush will be good?

I changed the clutch fluid on my friends z31 shiro edition 300zx and it wasnt changed in 22 years......it was simply disgusting. The fluid was like slime and there was metal flakes and all sorts of particulate matter, i sat there flushing it for 20min using like half a quart of fluid before it started coming in clean. After that i started thinking of changing my own hahah

Usually a qt. will do a good flush. In a system with old fluid I would try to bleed as much as you can with a single flush thru then let the new fluid sit it the system for a day or week then bleed it once again. Then it should be fine for a couple years like the brake system.
