Default transmission feeling to loose......

okay so im pretty happy with my car, i can deal with the odd noises, cheap paint and what not

but the transmission feels so loose to me, and i hate loose things

well here is my plan to solve that problem:

1. Group N tranny mount
2. motul 300 or redline heavy or light weight gear oil
3. i already have front and rear stay bushings, but finish off with the rest of TIC shifter bushings
4. and a short shifter

well the help im looking for is which gear oil to choose red line or motul

and if there are anymore things i can to do to get a real firm feel, i hate when i shift and it feels like im stirring a big wooden spoon in a jug of kool aid

loose FTL!!!!!!

That should give you an orgasmic shifting experience... Dont forget a heavy TWM shift knob.

No problem. I’m a whore... its what I do.

A counterweighted shift knob will make the shifting smoother. Trust me when you bushings and an short shifter you will want something to help offset the inherent stiffness.

With in reason heavy is good. You wouldnt want a 3 lb one. Around a pound is good. Mines a little over a pound. Look at the TWM ones. They're heavy and have flawless finishes.

TiC holy shift kit transforms the stocker- night and day difference. i am still putting a group N mount in. You are on the right track and will be amazed with the result!
