THANK YOU! someone agrees with me finally, dont worry STi nutt, they will all just come up with something back, or refer to howthingswork.com, or spank the STi media articles. I've had a STi in the past, been around these cars for a long time, if you buy the right product and not just one that looks good or whatever there is an atvantage to have, simply buying the loudest BOV because you wanna make noise may not be good, there is some very good aftermarket BOV's on the market, one of which is the APS, it vents back to avoid any probs and holds boost much better. on australian spec STi it maxes 18psi at 4-4500 and by redline is pushing 12lbs. with the APS valve on my friends bug eye STi he now pushes 18psi but it holds it there only back off to 16psi right near redline... so im sure this same valve could hold usdm sti's 14psi longer aswell. front mount coolers are always going to better, top mount will serve well to a certain point, which is no where near a front mount, even lightly modded engines should be able to see the benifit from a FMIC. while im writting might aswell add about the spank the STi article. STi and WRX are very different, put that same set up on an STi and watch it go, it has a stiffer frame to start with which will help and its front LSD. so all you amatuer STi guys out there just reading articles and thinking that gives you knowledge to the aftermarket tuning, leave it to people who have done it b4 and stop guessing what might happen
