Default Odd Transmission Rattle

Odd rattle appeared today during some spirited driving. With the car in gear and the revs above 4k there was a rattle that came from what sounded like the passenger side footwell, right by the transmission. It was almost like the transmission was vibrating in tune with the engine created a very strange rattle. This only occured with the car in gear. It's an '06 with about 25k miles on it. Thanks for any information.

-Pete

Stock up-pipe? If so the first thing to check on that one is the heat shield.

If that's no go check the bolt on the hanger for the downpipe.

Also, make sure that since you have an 06 that the motor mounts are ok. The plastic ones that came on those for a bit tended to break.
