legacy spec B 6spd same as STi?

Are the 6spds the same units, or does the Spec B indeed have a different tranny? Which one is better and why?

Spec B doesn't have DCCD so it is similar.

It has a longer 5th and 6th gears and the same gears as the 07/08 sti 1-4.
