Default Group-N Engine Mounts.. design changed?

I know that most will say that the Group-N route is a waste of effort and I should be looking at CUSCOs or BEATRUSHs.. but..

I was curious about the change in engine mount design from GROUP-N

EDO Performance has "Round" mounts (that look like my Stocker 06 STI (plastic junk) mounts)
STi Group N Engine Mounts [STI-410224S020] EDO Performance

and RallySportDirect has the Square/Rectangle version (05 and prior)

I've also read that the newer mount is (maybe) shorter..

Thoughts? input? I know the 08's went back to the round plastic design,... just curious about this design change.

I've searched and couldn't find any discussion regarding the design change. But if I missed it, I apologize in advance.

these are the "competition" version of group -n. I have them and they're pretty stiff compared to stock crappo plastic mounts.

Competition version? I've never heard of that. You have the round ones? or the squarish ones?
