Default clutch drop broke the dccd maybe?

hey i have a 2004 sti . any way last night missing around i droped the clutch being dum, to do a quick turn around(showing off to my evo friend) and a loud bang came from under the back seatand the car stoped moveing 1,2,3,4,6,r do not work unless i turn my dccd to lock. i looked at all my cv all good . drive line ok, rear end ok, and so on so i decided to pull the trany thinking the clutch was gone haveing only 3000 miles on it. there was nothing wrong with it gears all seam to be fine when driveing with it in lock. now if it isnt in lock it makes a whiny nose and trys to move but dose not in any gear.has any one ever blown a dccd unit up ? any way just woundering what u think guys o ya i pulled my top mount off to put in my new turbo and my pitch arm mount was broke

YouTube - STi 0-60MPH Test - AWD Burnouts!

Like the sound at the end of this video.."awww.......its crying" makes me laugh everytime and cry bec. of the abuse.

He breaks something at the end trust me, it makes the whining sound just listen.

Sounds like the center diff is borked.

I'm guessing it's a diff on either end based on the fact that it will drive in lock. If he had blown the center diff, it wouldn't go anywhere regardless of setting.

My bet is on a broken rear axle. Our DCCDs are pretty bulletproof and axles go first.

This is why you should no upgrade axles unless you are ready to break more expensive parts.

Where is it crying from?

You could have broken quite a few things including axles and diffs. So get yourself to a qualified mechanic and quickly. I also agree with Lack that its probably not a center diff issue or tranny issue as you said it drives O.K. in lock. But that leaves 2 diffs and 4 axles. I am betting (hypothetically) that its a rear axle though.

This won't do much as our diffs require friction to limit slip.

Hence why i said try to slow one wheel (safely)

If the f/r diff's are borked then you have a slight chance of seeing that front end or one wheel is slow to spin or may not even spin...its worth a shot...takes 5 mins to get the car up on jack stands...maybe spend an hour diagnosing

I dont know its something I would do to diagnose further
