Default Factory STi short shifter and Kartboy short shifter comparison review

So my '05 STi came with the factory STi short shifter. Shifting with the sti short shifter was akin to churning butter. I simply needed a better solution. I searched the forums and the different vendors and settled on Turn In Concepts bodacious bushing bundle, pivot bushings, and the Kartboy short shifter.

The difference between the stock bushings and short shifter and all the new bushings and Kartboy short shifter is literally night and day. I expected a slight improvement, but not this. Phenomenal difference. The shift lever itself is 1"-2" inches lower overall and will take some getting used to, especially with the factory arm rest extension.

This was a great investment and I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to vastly improve shifter feel.

You're right, the TiC bushings are awesome and make a world of difference. The shorter shifter would be the only thing I'd change in your setup. I really like my Cobb lever because it gives me shorter throws and still keeps the lever height where I like it.
