Default Doing my Own Clutch (FUN LOL) PIcs!!! 1st time

hey guys so after some days now ive been debating to do my clutch job. But after realizing my car slips in every gear i have to lol. I started at 8 this morning and got everything off except separating the traNS and engine. Currently the tim is 11:45 and have called it quits for the reason being i have to go to my sister bday party lol.

Just as a reference im 18 years old and work at bmw as a tech.

Just let me know what you guys think . If you want any pics let me know.Im located in Nw Indiana and love to work on cars.

This process is actually very easy and straight forward.

These are some pics i took. Tell me what you think. Also check out my custom center caps for my wheels

I have my car KNee high

Separating the Trans - and rejoining the Trans - are the 2 most difficult things about doing a clutch on the Subaru. The rest of the stuff is actually fairly straight forward. I wish you luck bro!

seperating it is a pain because sometimes it doesnt wanna come off, getting it back together is just getting it aligned right

It's great to see more people tackling this kind of work themselves, it really helps improve the technical content on IWSTI!

That said, I love to look at the pictures but after the last time I spent a few days under my car I decided never again. For the STI, I'll just pay to have this done . Yup, I'm a lazyass. Kudos to you, though .

Yeah, more props to you...for me...I like to do mechanical work but changing clutches is something I will opt-out of and pony up to have someone else do.

I did my own on my RS, and it was the biggest pain the ass I've had to deal with in a long time. And yes, separating the tranny from the engine was my biggest problem. I spent hours trying to get them apart without scratching the surfaces and finally I said screw it and got the wedges and got em apart in about 10 mins.
