How Fast Can You Shift Sti Transmission

In My Sti The Shift Time Is Like 1/2 Second Before It Will Let You Go Into Gear. In An Gc8 2.5 Rs You Can Shift In Like A Millasecond Is This Normal

Thats exactly the way I feel driving my friends accord compared to the STI. Shifting is so much smoother in that car, you cannot even tell if the driver just changed gears. I think this is mostly due to STIs tough drivetrain components. STIs tranny is designed to handle ALOT of torque compared to most cars out there.

it's probably a combination of the soft bushings and the synchros playing catch up
