| Technical Contributor Level 2 Feedback Score: 1 reviews Car: DGM 08 STI Fav Mod: cobb AP | My car has popped out of gear a couple times, but only when it's cold out and I'm going very slowly - didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary though, and twice in 5500 miles doesn't worry me. Guessing the TiC/Kartboy kit will help |

| Developing Technical Proficiency Feedback Score: 6 reviews Car: Sorry, not a Subaru | Popping out once is not ordinary. As the OP said, Subaru dealer mentioned "early production STI are all having trouble with the transmission ". Plz take it in before it's too late. |

| Twisting Your Mind Feedback Score: 3 reviews Car: 06 WRB STI Fav Mod: Deadbolt SZ55 | wow........I am not sure what to think about when i see these kinds of threads get posted on the 08's.....I surely hope that subaru does not continue this trend as it will not end well for them. After seeing all the problems, this and the production problem with the motor for instance, makes me really think twice about getting a 08 if I were in the market for a new vehicle. To me it seems as if all the problems started with the 07 in the respect of the engine tune issues and it seems to have been getting worse as the production continues with the 08's. I agree with the post above in the fact that you shouldnt rely on a aftermaket part to resolve a manufacture defect on the product. Take it to the dealership and have them repair the issue so this way you will be less likely to run into any other issues with the tranyn further down the road.
