Default front diff!

i was taking my front dif out yesterday to see if thats what was clicking in the front end and when i got the tranny out and took apart i saw that the dif was welded on the speed sensor side, ive dealt with difs before but never an awd one, is this suppose to be here or is it a welded dif? i will have pics up later today, also i bought the car from a dealer used so i dont know whats done to it,but it does have a dif out of a junkyard cause the dif has writing on it? any helps guys????

ok no help on the diff, anyways another question, im making my 04 into a drift car, been drifting for about a year now and i want to go rwd all the way, i was wondering if i took off my pinion gear on my front diff and made it free spinning would that mess anything up in the tranny or front diff, or if anyone can help me do this i would appreciate it?

it shouldnt mess it up...it would basically be like ur front diff is always in nuetral

this would be a great write up if you do take out the pin.

the front diff is done and waiting to get put back in the car, its free spinning now so it is now rwd, everything went good durning the disassemble and reinstall, its pretty simple just you need some time and a place to do it at! pics up soon any questions just ask!

To do this you will need to lock up the center diff or you will barely move.

I have a PPG spool that replaces the center diff to make it RWD, dont have to touch anything to do with the front diff, i can light up 4th gear on a rolling start !! Having near 300kw atw helps though
