Problems when reversing coming from the front.

Guys I'm a newbie on the forum. I got my 04 sti about two months now.
Here's my problem!

The car is working fine but when reversing and turning hard, I'm getting a knocking and binding coming from the front of the car

I took it to the mechanic he said it maybe the a burst transmission mount.

Change all the mounts but the problem's still there.

He checked both front axles and they are good.
I'm not seeing any ABS lights . I havn't adjusted the DCCD,its always at auto..

When reversing its sounds similar to bad velocity joints on a front wheel drive car and sometimes its so rough,it feels like your fighting to reverse.

Can I get some help on this ,, I know if I do a proper search I may find something but I need a response in the present time

At full left or right lock on the steering and slow speeds the front diff tends to bind up a bit, you can put the DCCD on full rear and it will stop this from happening. If you set it to full rear and it still does it, you may have actual issues, but try the above first.

was the differential oil changed regularly or when required? tho its coming from the front. there's nothing that became loose or damaged somehow (i.e. front sway bar)?

Yeah it's more than likely the differential binding up. I'm 99.9% sure there is no problem. The 04 differential and transmission is extremely noisy.

I actually have the same noises coming from my 04. I've changed out the steering rack bushings and trans mounts so that's not the issue. What I have yet to check is the axle nuts. After reading some of the threads about them I have a feeling these may be the cause.

^^ I was actually thinking of that but the mechanic shut down that idea.

Will try the change the DCCD to full rear.. see what happens

The front trans oil seem good but will change it soon. Suspension seems intact.

dccd almost 100% sure. Happens to all of my friends cars at the same situation. Same with going up a steep driveway and a hard angle. Just part of having 3 diffs, I guess...

It also has to do with clutch/throttle input.
