Default Help Me Pick Out a New Clutch!?

K so i drive a 07 STi, right now its bone stock but in about 2 months i will have the Blouch Dominator 3.0 Turbo with all the necessary upgrades and i will be taking it to Cobb (right down the street from me) to do the tuning... So i need help with a new clutch. Im thinking between and exedy street clutch or act extreme or heavy duty clutch. Any other suggestions?

Search "clutch" in this forum - you've got a lot of reading ahead of you.

Careful what you ask for. Some guy might talk you into buying a $2K clutch...like me.

I am leaning towards an exedy clutch, its just a pain to decide which one i want/need... I dont know a lot about tuning, this my first car, i had lifted trucks before... Im confused over all the different types of exedy clutches, noise and a tighter clutch pedal isnt really that big of a deal to me...

What are you doing with the car? If you want a daily driven clutch that won't make your left calf much larger than your right calf, give Howard at AR Fab a call.

On a second thought, the single plate Exedy may just do the trick.

My $.02

I do drive it around a lot, it already has 36k on it and ive only had it since october of 06. But i want to make it very fast and make it handle like a time attack car. i will be taking it to the miller speedway here in utah often this summer so i want the clutch to perform quick and aggressivly... eventually i will have forged pistons, titanium connecting rods, rod bearings, main bearings, billet crank, billet cams... All the internal stuff done on it but that is like a year away with the money flow i have.
