When I turn my car turns off!!!!

I don't know why, but when I turn at a speed of 20mph my car turns off. the steering wheel gets hard and yeah. i made a turn at 30mph like 4 hours ago and that is when it first happened. didnt undersyand what happened so i just turned it on and kept driving then I made a turn at 20mph and same thing happened. now I am just turning very slowly.

i have an 04 STI

CAI, catless TBE, ecutek protuned by topspeed, and a boost controller (but im not using it)

my dccd light keeps coming on and automatically changing from auto to the lowest cell. (dont know if that has to do with it)

and my clutch was just recently change ti a short throw shifter (dont know if that has to do with it)

Mine stalls when im doin like 5mph, and im turnin into a parking spot. Not all the time, just a couple.

Sounds kind of like your battery is dying. Sometimes a dying battery will make it harder to turn the steering wheel at very low speeds, but 20mph doesn't seem slow enough.

check the wires to your o2 sensor, mine was shutting off everytime a made a right turn, it turned out the blue wire of my o2 sensor was cut. Be sure to pull back the yellow cover on it to check the wires.

power steering fluid, pump etc... relay/fuse

yeah it just dies.... i have to turn it on again after i take a turn. unless its at like 5 mph.

ill go ahead n check the battery, the o2 sensor wires, pump, n power steering fluid.

Do you notice it when you go around a corner in one direction vs another (left v right)?

I must say that I have not heard of this problem yet. You are a first. Not a great thing when trying to figue out WTF it is. I would also start at the battery. Make sure you dont have any lose wires or anything.

Check behind the battery at the main wiring harnesses.

Could be an ignition problem in the steering column.

when i had a civic, i forgot to connect the ground securely from the black terminal, and my car started ran etc, but the windshield wipers were on (even though the switch was off) only the right headlight worked etc. it was crazy..
so i say check and make sure the grounding cables are secure.
