Any 04-06 sti owner attempt a 07 sti gear swap?

I think I've read a thread like this. I believe the general consensus was that unless you could source a complete 07 transmission really cheap, after cost of parts and installation it made more sense to upgrade with a custom gearset.

Search or pm "SloRice" over on NASIOC - he did it and said it wasn't too bad. IIRC, he had to machine a part or 2 and the rest was all straightforward swap.
