Default DCCD settings for winter autocross

I have tried some searching and was taking too long to try find what I need.

What DCCD setting does everyone like/use that run a STI in snow/winter autocross events. I have my first one ( with an STI ) on Sunday.

Running aggresive winter tires

Thanks, Brian

Bruce likes 1 notch back from full lock for having fun in the snow, and I like 2 notches back from full lock. Neither of those are specifically recommendations for auto-x.

Most folks feel they have more control in snow with some level of lock rather than full automatic. Please let us know what you find!

Depends...

Nasty low traction weather...full lock.

Snow...middle lock-1minus full

Rain and dry on street...auto

Rain on autox days...1-2 clicks down from full lock.

I think full lock would not be good for turning on an snow autocross course. I might try 1 and 2 back and see if i can notice any differences.

Autocross or no, turnin response is why I go with a manual setting in slippery conditions. Auto and full lock both push like crazy. A few clicks back lets me get the back end around.

Oooh, and don't forget the handbrake!

Full lock in snow and Ice throws mine around on command perfectly but, not to change the subject, what does everyone use for bad weather, such as snow, on a commute to work for the best traction?

I tend to(like today, cleveland, oh area), use 1 down from lock in the snow. more predictable than auto i feel.
