Can't say that I agree, I just put my stock shift lever back in after being very disapointed with the kartboy lever. I had an 05 with all of the bushing replaced and loved it. When I picked up my new 07, I went ahead and bought the whole shebang and after 5500 miles with it, I'd had enough. The Kartboy lever required way too much effort to change gears(no the pivot bolt was not too tight) but I did love the height of it. Back with the stock lever and all of the bushings I'm much happier. Unfortunately the revers lock-out cable is still buzzing inside of the shifter at certain rpm's

I did it for a Mate with an 05 and that pin replacement was a real pill really need another pair of hands it helps just to hold it. I will vouch for it on the 05 but havent yet on my 06 ...

Yea my reverse cable was rattling in mine too. I greased all around the pin and inside the lever... no more rattle!!!

An oft-overlooked byproduct of shorter throws is higher effort. This is exactly why I suggest adjustable levers; you can tune the throw and effort to your liking.
