Front LSD Weird Problem

Check out this pic of my front LSD... what could have caused this?

WOW. Looks like the pinion gear was rubbing against the housing somehow. I have no idea how that could happen, but that's what it looks like.

Was it making any type of sound?

Dude!!! thats is kinda hard to imagine, Were you using the DCCD on lock up mode wile on heavy slipage? I saw a blown differential from an STI that was doing donnuts... not preaty. You should get that area resurfaced.
