is there any way to change just the Needle of an STi cluster to white? if you check out an 08 wrx or STi you will see what I mean. It would be awesome to have the numbers be red, but the needles contrasting in white. it would make them 100X easier to read at a glance.

anything?

Original WRX needles have a yellow coating on the outside that can be removed to make the needles clear. WRX needles are made out of clear orange/red plastic and cannot be modified to clear. We do not know what the STi needles are but assume they are non-clearable plastic (red) as well.

If you would like to find out, we suggest you remove your cluster, then remove your bezel and look at the needles. We will do the same on our end when time allows. If they are made of solid red plastic, then clearing them is a no-go. We do not know if you can swap older WRX needles that have been cleared with STi needles. If you do that, however, then the cluster has to be recalibrated.

We have a recalibration procedure for that.

I just realized I never posted pics of my completed interior. This is how it should have looked from the factory.
I want to give kudos to Cory...there was a slight issue with one of my switches at first, but he paid for my return shipping back to him. He then sent that switch back to me, but it got lost in the mail . At his own expense, Cory picked up a new switch, changed it over to red, and sent it out quickly. Thanks again!

ok, I will do that but im still a bit confused. in a recent post - you stated that you were now doing STi cluster color conversions. I would think that if you are now able to convert the entire cluster to a different color like blue or green or white - you would know if the needle stays red or if it changes along with the rest of the cluster change. a cluster with red needles & white digits would still look bad ass.

am i missing something?

from your previous post:
The needles will stay red on a converted STi cluster. Actually, we have not converted any STi clusters. We just disassembled my own STi cluster to determine what is required. The STi cluster is just like Nissan 350Z and Infinity G35 clusters of which we have converted many.

Thanks so much for the kudos Scott and thanks again for your patience and understanding. The US Postal Service can bite me!

Lesson learned. NEVER ship customer items via USPS.

The interior looks fantastic!

My Prosport gauges are pretty dim during the day. Can they be modified to a brighter red?
