How often do you wash and wax your car?

I live in upstate NY and i try to wash my car every weekend and wax it every 1-2 months.

I’m just trying to find out If there is something wrong with me because everybody teases me about how clean my car is.

Wash: 1 or 2 times/week in summer
Wax: Zaino, four coats every six months
State: confusion (MI)

My southern ass is NOT going outside to wash the car in winter, and I believe autowashes do more harm than good. Claybar, hand wash, hand polish FTW. Zaino FTMFW.

I've washed it three times since I've had it about 3 weeks. My g/f gives me crap about it too, so I washed and waxed her Accord, now she leaves me alone!

Its usless to keep washing a car here.... just gets dirty after a hour or day here. Plus I like having a muddy STi because 90% of the lifted trucks in my town dont see mud but my STi shows them up.

Wax - prob once a year.
wash it - I try do wash it every week but that never happens

on that note I am due for both wash and wax

Wash every week and wax every 2-3 months. Have to keep the Beast Clean.

Wash it 2-3 times a week- with a "good wash"- {wheels & interior Clean-up} "on Sundays".......wipe it down every day with McGuire's quick detail...and put tire shine on it every day.....Wax it....once a month with special attention to the hood, roof, and trunk to protect the paint from the hot sun beating down on it at work.

i could not have said what i do any better. that is pretty much spot on exactly what i do. i have been this way since i started driving...5 years ago haha.

Wash: 1-2 times a month.
Wax: 1 time so far in the whole 2 years of owning it. However, I plan on changing that to every 3 months.

The STi is a "special" Machine.....and one needs to take care of it and it will take care of you.

I always said when i get an STi, it will never be dirty, im going to take SUCH great care of that car..

The interior has stayed vacumned and clean 100% of the 2 weeks i've owned it.. in the first week i probably washed it 4 times at least, and a grand total of 6 or 7 in the past 2 weeks and in fact it needs to be washed again waxed once...
If im going to pay that much for a car i have wanted forever, its going to look good, all the time!
Im worried about washing it too much and washing away the paint..
Im working the system here, theres a carwash place in town that does a kick ass job, and they have a 48 hr guarantee so every 2 days i've been going back and getting a rewash.. lol i feel like a jerk but hey! free carwashes!
only problem is the pressure washing from those drive thru things, i need to find the time to just routinely wash it once a week with the hose
