How often do you wash and wax your car? - Page 2

PS what do you guys do with the claybar? just fill in scratches etc? i could probably use a bit of that on my skirts..

Wash it every 2 months in the summer, it's garage kept, and only weekend driver.
Wax it? Hasn't been waxed yet, though I should.
Vaccum? Whenever I think it's dirty. 1-3 Months.

wax it every 2-3 months (stuff i use does last 6 months but SC wheather forces to wax it sooner than 6 months)

Wash: 1-2 per week
Interior 1-3 times per week, depends on how much I drive but I treat all the plastic every other time I do it.
Wax: Every third wash.

With my mustang I wax it every wash which is about every week even if it doesnt get driven.

I wash mine 1 sometimes 2 times a week. And I mean a total wash.

I wax it 2 to 3 times a year. Once in the spring and once in the fall and maybe 1 wax in the summer.

I usually vacuum it every 2 weeks unless it really needs it sooner.

I wax my car everytime I wash my car and I usually wash my car once every week or 2. It seem most of you guys only wax 2-3 times a year and until today i've waxed it a total of 13ish time already. Could all this waxing damage paint on my car or am I just wasting money buying wax?

wash/QD: 2-3 times a week
maintenance wax: once a month or so
full on top to bottom detail: once every few months
interior: once a week

Washed average every month and a half to two months or after every track event. Not a daily driver though so it sits in the garage alot. Try to hit it real fast with some carnauba wax after every wash.

as you slide the claybar along the paint, it absorbs all the tiny specks of dirt that normal washing doesn't get off, it also takes off small rust spots.(though the downside, i have heard, is that hairline scratches appear after using it many times)

i wash at least once a week, rarely claybar/wax simply because of lack of time

i dont know if "absorb" is the best term... its more "remove" ... its basically grabbing contaminents off of and out of the paint...the scratches most times can be corrected by some swirl remover or polish.
