Prosoco 600. I've tried p21s and a billion other cleaners and nothing, and I mean nothing, could remove that caked on brake dust. I tried Prosoco, with a little reluctance since I know it's highly acidic, and Boom! I couldn't belueve how the dust just slid right off my wheels. I BARELY had to touch them with a brush for the really tough stuff to come off. I couldn't have been happier. Just my .02.

You guys need to wax your wheels more regularly.

Pressure washer is great but can be a pain to have to hookup & use.

Be careful of some of the wheels cleaners, they will dull the clear finish if used improperly.

Use a clay bar, its a pain, but it will work to get the grit out.

Like FleaDog says... wash more often and you won't end up with this problem. Every time I wash my car, I just get down and use a seperate sponge and car soap for my wheels. It works fine, you just have to go over each spoke and crevice.

mine are pretty bad. I have used a 2500 psi pressure washer, gasoline, lacquer thinner and alot of over the counter wheel cleaners.

My car gets tracked alot and when race pad brake dust gets mixed with rain and extreme heat its on there for good.

Before I painted my rims the brake dust had caked on pretty bad. Pressure washer, clay bar, several rim cleaners I tried, goo gone, simple green all did nothing. I sat there with a bucket of warm water and a plastic scraper and rubbed back and forth till the caked on crap came off. Took about and hour each wheel but it got everything off and didnt damage the rim.

Anymore suggestions of dangerous methods or concoctions will result in points and possible banning. Mixing certain chemicals together can result in deadly gases/vapors. For the safety of those that are not aware of these mixtures, the rest of us have a responsibility to not post that type of material.
