Default Clay bar and such

I need to clay bar the Porsche. The paint is oxidizing and what not, last owner waxed it and never cleaned it all off either, so some of the paint doesn't shine like the rest in some spots. What are the steps including clay bar? Wash, wax, then clay bar? Any help on this would be great, thanks guys.

u dont wanna claybar too much, just use a good soap to wash ur car, if u want to remove the old wax, use dish soap, then claybar, wash again with some good soap, i use meguiars, polish, then wax. make sure your car is nice and cool, and in the shade.

Wash with Dawn dish soap. Then dry it. Then claybar it - you'll need a detail spray or some such, as instructed by claybar instructions (depends on maker of the claybar). Once you've clayed the car, you wash it again with a good car wash soap. And dry it again. Then you apply polish, wax, etc., which would be determined by you and your brand loyalties.

Things you will NEED: 1) Shade or a garage if you're doing a black/dark car. Ask Nandan how I know. 2) Time - start early. 3) Good hands - if you drop the claybar on the ground, it's best not to reuse it. Some people split their bars into quarters or such. I just prefer not to drop mine.

Check my journal (and Nandan's) to see the results of a Zaino Claybar and polish.

Wash with dawn dish soap to remove all previous layers of wax. Claybar. Then wash car again(this time with normal car wash solution). Then wax.

Doesn't a clay bar pretty much take off all the wax? I wouldn't use dish soap on my paint.
