Default How to get gum out of seats?

So I was at the state soccer finals on saturday and was lucky enough to sit in some asshat's gum. Didn't realize it until I saw it all over my seat.

Whats the best way to get gum out the stock seat?

I found some stuff at an industrial cleaning supply store that was more or less "freezing in a can". I won't bother with the brand name since it didn't have any! It's used in schools and such. It is made specifically for chewing gum. My 6 year old smeared a bunch of it in the back seat and it worked like a charm. Spray it, let it sit for a bit (2 mins), then take a back of a butter knife and scrap off. No discoloration, no damage to fabric and I only had to use it once.
Go look "Industrial cleaning supplies" up in the Yellow pages and make a few phone calls. You'll find it.

I remember using that stuff when I was a pledge back in the day, good for removing all sorts of random **** from carpets.

Never dealt with that one yet, but I did a quick search:

http://www.ehow.com/how_1554_remove-gum-cars.html

STEP 1: Note that the following steps work for fabric or vinyl upholstery, not leather.

STEP 2: Place an ice cube in a plastic bag.

STEP 3: Apply the ice to the gum, allowing the gum to freeze until quite hard.

STEP 4: Gently scrape away the gum with a dull

Give it a shot, just be careful with the knife.

WD-40 and a towel will do just find. I had it get on my suede and was stuck on there for about a day until I found online that WD-40 would do the trick. After spraying just a little amount and wiping with a towel it came immediately off and the WD-40 didn't discolor the suede at all.

Before trying the WD-40 and after trying the Ice, I would try an orange cleaner that is made of natural orange oil.

Whichever you decide to use, I would take a large black garbage bag, cut a square in the middle of it. Lay the bag on the seat so the square is exposing the area you're working on, but the rest is covered. That way you won't get any overspray anywhere else.
