Default Calling for some detail help!!!

I could use some help attempting to clean my paint after somebody threw pumpkin all over the hood while I was gone for the day. If anybody can tell me what to do to help clean the paint... I'd really appreciate it.

I tried tar remover... did nothing, tried clay bar and nothing. Meguiar's Scratch-X got most of the residue off that was left on the car after washing it but marks still remain. None of the paint was removed but it looks like a sort of hazing is left on/in the clearcoat. Any ideas?

Oh yea, and screw lame people that think its cool to F with other people's pride and joy. /rant.

Wash it with Meguiar's gold class shampoo and dry it.

Make sure you use the claybar correctly with claybar lubricant.

Then your best bet is Meguiar's #2 polish using a poisher, and then go with #7.

If you can take some pictures, it would be helpful.

+1 for pics, yeah i hate people do stupid stuff like that

Use mothers clay bar or megs. i would use optimum polish with a PC to take it off, it happened to me once too, but not on my sti. it took it right off

I'll try and get some pics tomorrow if possible... the "residue" left can really only be seen in certain light. I attempted to clay bar a small spot but the haziness of the residue still remained where you could see the outline of where the crap was on the paint. I used some Meguiar's Scratch-X and it removed most of this residue and was the only thing I could really get any results with by hand. I am borrowing a friend's PC tomorrow hopefully and seeing if we can make it any better. I put a light layer of Zaino to help protect the paint until I get back to it. I'm hoping that I caught it in time and that I reduced the amount of damage done. I can take a better look at it tomorrow with the sunlight.

I really appreciate the help. I have been talking with a few people about the issue and they seem to think a light polish with the PC should be able to resolve most of the haze "residue". I used a friend's Meguiar's Scratch-X and it actually worked quite well, is there anything special I should know about this product? I know its pretty abrasive which seemed to be what was required to clean the paint. Is there any chance of doing more damage over time by using this product on the paint? I was rubbing pretty hard but was using microfiber and polishing off quickly. Just has me nervous eventhough the paint seemed to look fine afterwards. Thanks for any responses.
