I used to use the Blue Clay bar myself but recently I have switched and started using Nick's Perfect Gloss. I had been using all the Meguiar's products all the time for years but recently switched. All of Nick's product are a breeze to use and the results are awsome, easy on easy off. I'll will post of some pics or results on my Typhoon in another thread later on tonight.

His website is down right now, but will be up later on tonight.

and before hand, wash the car. No need to dry it when using the lubricant.

Once you go over the paint with the clay + lube, wash it off and than dry.

Than Meguiar's # 7 and than # 26.

Than take your ballcap and gently throw it on the hood and it will slide down!

So I don't have to dry after washing just start claying? That will save some time. Wash, clay, wash, dry, polish, wax, done right

That sounds like # 7.

Take your time and have fun. If the sun is too strong, move the car into the garage.

I once found myself finishing up my car around 10:30 PM, so yes, it can take a while but it's fun.

A little bit of music in the background is always nice.

I've talked to detailers who use car wash soap as lubrication for the clay bar, so the car can be wet.

I prefer the lubricating spray that typically comes with the bar.

I haven't had a chance to spend this much time on the STi, and it desperately needs to be done. If I don't find time soon it may not happen until next spring.

I recently used the Zaino clay bar with great results. It did exactly what I wanted it to do. For lubricant I used 2 caps of Zaino car wash soap mixed with water in a spray bottle. It worked great! After applying 3 coats of Z-5 wax and 3 coats of Z-2 wax my cars paint feels like glass. I can’t say enough great things about Zaino.

Heard alot about Zaino, but haven't tried it yet.

How about some close up pictures of your paint?

I also use the Zaino clay bar and it works really well but isn't very durable. It starts to fall apart pretty quickly...but it gets the job done. I have used Zaino waxes before and the results were good but I can get the same results with Klasse and it's much easier to use.
