Here's an extremely clean wheel as you can see
Have a before picture
Mine are filthy, to the point I think they'll have to come off and be scrubed out, unless this stuff is a mircle worker.

I've used Simple Green, Griot's, and P21S (both gel and non-gel), and other than the Gel P21S for super hard to get off brake dust, Griot's stuff is hands down the best I've used. Well worth it for the quantity you can buy compared to the tiny bottles of P21S.

Does the gel work very well with the wheels on the car or did you pull them off and brush it on?

I've only ever used the gel on the wheels as mounted on the car. The gel is reasonably thick, so it sticks to the wheel and doesn't run off so much. It actually sticks to the parts of the wheel that are more or less upside down, so you don't end up with one side more clean than the other in the lip and crevices.

Spray on, let it sit for the time specified on the bottle, hose or brush off and voila.

I don't know how detail you are but i see dirt behind those spokes. For me, I want my wheel to be TOTALLY clean. Not look clean so up until today, there is just no product in the market that I know of that will just spray and hose off. I tried a lot but nothing words in miracle. A good soft brush is the answer. With the brush, you don't even need any solution.
