How good do these dust repelling wheel cleaners work at repelling brake dust?

I just wash the rims like the rest of the car and use the quick detail spray to clean em up a bit and rub a bit harder.. i dont really trust the spray on cleaners, like someone mentioned before hand, they all say dont get on the brakes etc etc but its impossible, even the tire shine foam that you spray on i saw said dont get on anything but the tire... how the hell is that possible?! Plus im afriad that these wheels can become very easily damaged due to the chemicals which detach this brake dust...

i've used mothers and eagle 1, both are good, eagle 1 edges mothers a bit though, but like someone said, you can get mothers at sams, 2 for 1.

i've only heard good things about p21s, probably pick some up in the near future once my e1 runs out.

edit: i know it off topic of this thread but it still a fact about wheels....

i found out that armorall are not good on car. even on rubber cuz if shine it up. it look good but later sun dry it up then tire rubber show white/grayish cuz tire get too dry after sun dry armorall up

so i warn u guys to don't use armorall too much

but it true myth.. i have some white grayish on my sis's door handle vynal. i use that armorall lot to make those black plastic shine
it could be same on tire.. gulp

You mean rust on the swept surface of the rotor? I would say a couple of good hard stops ought to take care of that. But just to be sure... I'd say a track day is in order!
