Default 3-Stage Waxing after Washing

I know there are many threads about how to detail, etc, but I need to know if, after 1 day of having washed & dried my car, it's okay to lightly wipe any dust off of the car, and then start the 3-stage paint cleaning, polishing, then carnauba waxing process. I almost never have a block of 3-6 hours to wash, dry, then do the whole waxing thing, so I have to break it up in to two days, if anything. I haven't waxed my car 6-7 months, and it's about time I did. Please give me any advice--it'd be greatly appreciated, as I'd like to do the 3-stage today.

Thanks,
Jason

Carnuba wax is fine for our paint

Yea its fine to do your polish/wax etc the next day. Just use a QD and wipe down, then you can go ahead and get to work

caranuba is more abrasive than synthetic and it buffs away some of our clear coat everytime you use it

OMGROFL!!! Carnubas dont take away clearcoat, they have NO abrasives. Most if not all Sealants/Wax's have no abrasives. Even if they did, it wouldnt be enough to effect the clearcoat. Heck, even if you compounded/polished every month it would take you YEARS to even begin to make the clearcoat fail.

edit: I wasnt flaming BTW, just to make sure

youre right, i just looked it up and was miss informed.

BUT...Jason doesnt seem to wax his car very often. Carnuba wax only lasts a month or two while synthetics last between 4 and 6 months easily.

That happens

Yea, carnubas arent that durable as synthetics. Thats why most people use a few coats of sealant then some carnuba, kind of get the best of both worlds.

I don't want to go w/ synthetics, b/c I don't have the time for a 50-million step Zaino Bros or other brand application. I don't know how you more patient people have the time for synthetics...unless there are other synthetics out there that don't require 10+ coats. Who honestly has the time for that?

I'm also not flaming, haha, but Zaino & the other synthetic manufacturers make products that require so many coats & applications that it's ridiculous.

Peace,
J

PS--I don't have a garage, thus the frustration.

how often do you plan on waxing your car? If its monthy stick with carnuaba for the shine, if its less than 3 times a year switch to synthetic for the protection.

Zaino only needs about 3 coats for maximum protection, Poorboys EX is the same way. If you clay and polish, the sealant will last MUCH longer.

well i used klasse aio and seal + p21s carnuba. I did my car like 3 months ago and everytime i wash it, shines like just waxed. P21s is a carnuba wax, it has been 3 months and my car is still shines and feels like silk.

I doubt the P21S is the main reason. Klasse SG is a real durable sealant, so its helping the wax.

honestly just get the mcquires ZXT wax, it is wonderful and one step if you dont have the time for the multistep waxing. Another long time favorite of mine is "Liquid glass" with the 67 vette on the front of the can. You will not find a better wax!!!
