I went to 3 places last weekend looking for the stuff. They have the older Gold Class and the stuff in the Pink bottle, but can't find the NXT... I'll keep lookin.

Nope, waxing and claying prep the surface so the wax can do its job better, if you dont prep, it really isnt worth it to wax. Ask any good prof. detailer and they will say its aleast 80% prep(clay/polish) and 20% Wax/Sealant. Yeap, if you polish, then use a glaze and use a sealant like FMJ(it is a sealant not a wax, its one of my favorites also). Then use a wax like Poorboys Nattys you shouldnt have near as much problem with spots.

I notice you said polish. I don't understand why that would make a difference. If it is already good and waxy, isn't that about the same? Still being rather new I haven't polished the whole thing with my PC yet. Are you saying that an all-over polish, then a glaze and a wax (Menzerna FMJ) might get diminish the tenacity of the water spots?

Thanks!

I am presuming you mean "Nope, polishing and claying prep the surface" ??

Thanks!!

I clayed the car right after I got it, but haven't polished the entire thing yet at all. Do you like the Menzerna Final Polish II ?

I use hot because it will be warm by the time I start scrubbing. Hot water wont hurt your car anyways.....

I use a RV Water filter. I got it from wal-mart for $17 and some change. So far it's working great.

I was early in the AM, in the shade or before the sun starts to heat up the surface. I keep my car clean between washes using a California Car duster and Quick Detailer spray so it doesn't take that long to wash.

I use Meguiars professional line of products including car wash soap. The only other thing I use is a Griot's Garage Squeegee (sp?). . It doesn't scratch the paint like other inferior plastic or rubber ones out there.
