At auto stores, they do sell, bug and tree sap remover, Personally i would try some turtle wax rubbing compound first! Buff on, allow to haze, and buff off

Turtle wax sap remover is pretty good.

If that doesn't help, claybar is the next step.

Sap is pretty easy to get off. You can do what the guys said above me or you can get some common Rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. Dab (do not press hard as you will scratch the paint) until sap disappears. Immediately wash & wax your car. I have done this on many cars, no paint was ever messed up from it.

A little amount of rubbing alcohol on a rag should also do it.

That might dull the paint finish. I would go with the sap remover first.

as long as you wash and wax after, it shouldn't.

Or Vinegar also. But I would bet a Claybar or Tar/Bug remover would work

If you rub alcohol on the paint without washing it, you risk creating minor scratches.

Wax won't do a thing in this case, read my last post.

Yea wash it first. Then polish and wax it afterwards. We used this trick at my detailing job when we ran out of clay and sap remover. Worked like a charm. You have to rub it in a little but do it very gently.
