Default Clay Bars or Kits

Where is everyone getting their clay bars from. I found two kits at the local auto stores for 20 bucks a piece and a few online. Anyone find quality clay for less than 20 bucks for 8oz (approx. 200grams)?

I like to get mine from here: http://www.topoftheline.com/claysapovrem.html
I just use some QD or I usually use my wash soap I already have made.

Autozone and Advanced Auto have the Mother's Clay Bar for $20 and one of the two can't remember which also carries Clay Magic clay bar for like $14.

I just picked up some Clay magic http://autopia-carcare.com/awc-88256.html. This will be my first time claying. I also use Klasse products on my car as well P21S Carnauba wax. Does anyone know if I have to apply the Klasse AIO after claying or can i just apply the Klasse glaze?

Apply AIO after claying and before KSG(Sealant) AIO cleans the surface and SG does best when AIO is used before to prep the paint.

Thanks for the info. I just assumed the paint would be cleared of all containments after claying. I didn't not know the AIO prep's the paint.

Yes the All-In-One is just that an all in one product. It act as a polish, cleaner, and protectant in one. The greatest benefit of the Klasse All-In-One is that it's a chemical polish. It contains no abrasives therefore is safe to use everytime you wash your car. It won't get rid of swirl marks but will get rid of contaminants and oxidation. It also adds protection like a sealant just not as good or long as Klasse Sealant Glaze. To apply the Sealant Glaze you need to prep the paint first which you would do with clay bar and a polish first. Then wax as usual. Hope that helps.

Sure does, thanks a lot! Now I just need to clear a whole day to do it. The process kills me but I love the results.

If you have a Porter Cable 7424 or something similar it can greatly speed up the process. For most polishes and glazes, the heat helps break them down and makes them work optimally. For instance, when I applied some Poorboy's SSR 2.5 swirl remover by hand I didn't really notice a difference because it was too hard to heat it up when applying by hand. When I applied it with the PC 7424, I worked it in on speed of 3-4 and then do a couple of passes at 5-6 to really break it down and heat it up. The results are incredible.

I got my claybar kit from pepboys (local auto store) for 25 bucks. It came with the claybar, quick detailing spray (needed for the claybar) and a carnuba wax to finish it all off. So far, ive only claybarred my car once lol
