Any "one step" or "all purpose" products creep me out. Wax as I know it, leaves a mess on plastic...since this doesn't, I have to wonder how much it protects the paint.

pull red "safety" down (in the direction of the arrow on the red thingie)
point bottle away from your face (aim towards car)
squeeze handle
the "ice" should now spray on your car

so, you're saying that if it doesn't leave a mess, it doesn't work ?

it doesn't leave a mess because it was designed not to. this is not a wax, it's a synthetic.

just like synthetic oil is not an oil

So basically all I need to do is just spray the Ice on the microfiber and just wipe in a circular motion?

FOr you guys that want to try this stuff..

So i was in Hawaii on vacation.. 3am i see an infomercial on this new ice thats supposed to pwn meguiars and all other waxes.. and its one step on and wipe.. they had all these paid people to say how good it is...

so it came out and i picked up a bottle at wal mart..

few days ago waxed half of my hood with turtle wax ice.. like 4 layers

then waxed the other half with my good old meguiars nxt 2 layers..

nxt had very little swirl and scratch marks and was very smooth.. while the ice.. was nearly like not waxed.. and looked pretty much the same as before...

i suggest if your gonna use ice at all put it between layers of wax.. says so on the bottle too i think

I wasn't to impressed with this stuff either. I usually use megs but decided to give this stuff a try. I'm going back to megs because, I don't know if it was me getting to much in the cracks or because my car is black, but when it rained my car had big streaks under all the cracks, and it didn't look as good to me as megs or others

Okay, so I bought this stuff and how I applied it was that I sprayed it on my microfiber towel or even a part of the car itself and just rubbed it. Maybe it's just me but it didn't do squat didly for me. Maybe it's because my car only has abot 6k miles or something but still .. What's it supposed to do? I still see swirl marks, scratches, etc.

Most synthetics leave a shine, but not much protection. I especially stay clear of anything with chemicals that might be absorbed by the paint. I have heard from some body shops that some of the synthetics make it impossible to feather in a panel, since the paint has to go down to metal before more paint will adhear to it.
I love Eagle one products, they for the most part contain carnuba wax, not polymers, and therefore is a real wax. I am anxious to try their nano wax. Basically, the nano wax is still carnuba, but broken down into smaller melocular particles, which is why it fills swirls better. Better explanation on the eagle one web site.
I have been given a jar of zymol, but feel it is too hard to work with, when there are easier products available.

Actually you have it the other way around. Synthetics last longer, but dont offer much of a "warm" look to the paint. Carnubas dont last long, especially in 90+ temps. Thats why a lot of people switch to Zaino or Klasse for winter, they are synthetics and very tough.

You need to prep (claybar and polish) first to get any sort of result out of most last step products (sealants/waxes), so thats probably why you dont see a diference. It doesnt matter how many miles your car has.
